CAP is second in competition

The Crazy Horse Civil Air Patrol Squadron Cadets did a fine job of representing the state of South Dakota at the North Central Region Color Guard competition in Sioux Falls on April 16. There are seven states in the region, and the Crazy Horse Squadron placed second overall.
There were seven events at the competition. The team took first place in standard drill, second in outdoor flag posting and the written exam, third in physical fitness and uniform inspection, fourth in the panel quiz, and fith in indoor flag posting.
The squadron's color guard team consists of Joshua Johnson and Justin Lewis of Hill City, Justis Hall and Gunner LeFebvre of Custer; along with two alternates, Colton Hall and Laura Zaic, also from Custer. The Crazy Horse Squadron has members from Hill City, Custer and Hot Springs. They are led by Captain Sharon Moad and Lt. Col. B.T. Marking.
