Martinez headed to Costa Rica

Nina Martinez will spend the next month in Costa Rica as part of a 4-H -sponsored international youth exchange. She will live with a host family and experience the culture.

 

Nina Martinez of Custer will travel to Costa Rica as part of a 4-H- sponsored international youth exchange. She left this past weekend and will remain in Costa Rica until the middle of next month.
Martinez will live with a Costa Rican family in the city of Orotina, about 40 miles west of the capital, San Jose. Orotina is an agricultural region known as the “fruit basket” of Costa Rica. Martinez will be part of a group of 16 U.S. delegates and two adult chaperones living with host families and experiencing the Costa Rican culture.
