Small golf team needs experience

The cold, windy weather won’t keep the girls golf team from practicing for the upcoming season — or the fact that the team is much smaller than years before.
“I don’t think we’ll have much of a varsity team,” said Royed Hollick, girls golf coach. “I don’t think these girls are experienced enough to compete at that high level.”
The golf team is made up of three girls: Elizabeth Watland and Leah Zacher, seventh graders, and Marlee Schneider, sixth grade.
“Depending on how you play that’s your position in the hierarchy,” Hollick said. “The younger ones will more than likely go out later.”
