Betty J. Sauer was born May 10, 1931, in Custer County, S.D., to Frank and Pearl (Hall) Sauer. She died March 2, 2013, at the Golden Living Center-Meadowbrook in Rapid City, S.D. She was 81.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers.
She is survived by her brother, Vance Sauer of Indianapolis, Ind.; nieces, Linda McKahan and Claralee Stevenson; nephew, Don Sauer; great-niece, Jamie Lynn McKahan; great-nephews, Chris Stevenson and Shawn McKahan; great-great nephew, CJ; and great-great niece, Cassie.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 11, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Custer with Pastor Steve Wagner officiating. Committal services will follow at the Custer Cemetery.
