Unity: the underrated factor of success

Several people have asked me why we decided to produce a regional magazine. That always surprises me because writing news stories, designing advertising and putting it all together is what we are already doing. A magazine is just in a different format than a newspaper, but it’s the same process utilizing writers, graphic designers and paginators.
Others have asked how we have time to publish a magazine when we are already publishing two newspapers. Deb, our graphic designer, said we all work well together here.
I don’t think most people understand the importance of that. But it has been brought home to me lately.
I was listening to a man on the radio who had been involved in witchcraft, but had come out of it. He mentioned that many times all those involved would get together and just concentrate in unison on what they wanted to see happen in the natural world. And he said there was power in that.
Well, that’s nothing new and shouldn’t be surprising to us, but how many times do we overlook the importance of unity.
At the tower of Babel, the Bible records that God said, “Behold the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”
The oppositie is true also. In the New Testament, (Mark 3:24-25) Jesus said, “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”
