Harold “Hal” Korthaus was born June 7, 1930, to Bertram and Gladys (Chard) Korthaus. He attended schools in Custer, S.D., and graduated from Custer High School in 1948.
Hal served in the Army, moving to Colorado after his service.
He was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. He was also a long-time member of Denver Friendship Force and enjoyed traveling.
Hal, of Denver, Colo., died Nov. 1, 2012. He was 82.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; parents; and sister, Pearl Webber.
He is survived by his daughter, Gwen Karas and their two children, Nikolas and Zoe; brother-in-law, Clint Webber of Arizona; and aunt, Evelyn Chard of Custer.
Burial was in Denver.
