In the first regular dual meet of the season, the Custer High School wrestling team defeated the Belle Fourche Broncs, 54- 21.
Key wins came from Jahratt Schemeier (113) who pinned Trinity Tippman, Chasen Cole (132) who pinned Brandon Muhm, Miles Kirk (138) who pinned Jared Habeck and David Sigdestad (170) who pinned D’Angelo Ramos.
“Our 106 pound match (Tyler Hughes vs. Cody Tupper) was difficult,” said head coach Jared Webster. “The kids did well, but had tough matches.”
Sloan Shorb (120), Clayton Wahlstrom (182), Ben Marchand (195), Clay Siedler (220) and Angelo Climenti (285) all won by forfeit.
“We need to keep up the aggressive attitude and keep it going,” Webster said.
