Derrick James Kester, formerly of Custer, S.D., died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He was 16.
He is survived by his mother, Tabatha Welsh, and her fiancé, Tony Pieschke, of Sioux Falls; his father, Brandon Gooch of Wichita, Kan.; three siblings, Abeni Kester, Alexis Welsh and Dustin Welsh, all of Sioux Falls; his grandmother, Doris Kester of Sioux Falls; and his grandfather, Rocky Allen of Sturgis, S.D.
Services were Nov. 6 at Community Reformed Church in Sioux Falls.
