Harry Leach

Harry F. Leach was born July 31, 1927, in Mason City, Neb., to Andrew and Erma Leach. He graduated from Mullen, Neb., and served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1947. Harry worked for 32 years for the REA Coop in Mission, S.D., and Custer, S.D.
Harry died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, S.D. He was 84.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
Harry is survived by his wife, Leta (Ormesher) of 63 years; daughter, Neva (Myron) Ellwein; son, Terry (Michelle) Leach; daughter, Sherry (Mike) Schwartz; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were July 17 at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City with Pastor Brent Woodard officiating. Military honors were provided by VFW Post 1273 of Rapid City.
A memorial has been established to the Wounded Warrior Project.
