From the outside, it seems almost inconceivable. Your friends don’t understand it. You don’t understand it. Everyone has pointers. It all goes for naught. That’s what happens when one day you forget how to do something you used to be able to do with relative ease. If it’s ever happened to you, then you know just how maddening it can be. Such was the case with Rick Ankiel, and such continues to be the case with me. Ankiel is a Major League Baseball player with the St. Louis Cardinals who started his career as one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball.
