What’s going on with Chrysler & GM?

Does it seem odd to you that both General Motors and Chrysler, in fighting for their financial lives, are closing dealerships in this country right and left? After all, isn’t it the dealers who buy all the cars to sell to their loyal customers? How is this going to solve their problems and increase the sale of new cars and trucks?
