Contestant remained true to her beliefs

I’ve attended my fair share of Miss South Dakota pageants over the years when we lived in Hot Springs for 15-1/2 years and more recently when Sara Seever of Custer was competing for the crown, which she ultimately won after several tries. Part of the competition involves the finalists answering a question from the judges, just so they can get an idea of how well a contestant thinks on her feet. Never did I hear such a politically-charged question as that thrown at Miss California, Carrie Prejean, in the April 19 Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas.
