Wildcat girls place second at state track meet
Hilary Fischer was a part of Custer’s sixth place finishing 1600 meter relay team at the Class A state track meet last weekend.

        Paced by strong finishes in four relays, the Custer High School girls track team worked its way to tie for second place at the Class A state track meet last weekend in Rapid City and Spearfish. “The girls did a good job,” head coach Craig Black said. “They really performed.”
You have to go back a long way—25 years in fact—to find the last time the Custer High School girls placed second in the state track meet, which was 1984.
