Wildcat girls place second at state track meet

Paced by strong finishes in four relays, the Custer High School girls track team worked its way to tie for second place at the Class A state track meet last weekend in Rapid City and Spearfish.
“The girls did a good job,” head coach Craig Black said. “They really performed.”
You have to go back a long way—25 years in fact—to find the last time the Custer High School girls placed second in the state track meet, which was 1984.
