Teddy Roosevelt entertains Rotary Club
Teddy Roosevelt reenactor Joe Wiegand entertained members of the Custer Rotary Club June 8 with stories of life on his North Dakota ranch, Spanish American War ventures, hunting safaris, politics and life in the White House.

Custer Rotary Club members were treated to tales of Teddy Roosevelt’s adventures at their regular Monday, June 8, meeting at the Senior Center. Roosevelt reanactor Joe Wiegand of Fairdale, Ill., kept his audience spellbound as he related stories of growing up in New York as a frail child with asthma, to ranching near Medora, N.D., to African safaris to exploring Amazon River jungles.
