      For the past 17 years, Geney Ziolkowski has been the animal control officer for both the City of Custer and Custer County. It’s a job she loves—and despite whispers to the contrary—a job she wants to continue to do. Her love for animals runs as strong as ever, and she says she and other members of the Humane Society of Custer, Inc., continue to look out for the best interest of Custer’s animal population.
