Published: Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

The fifth annual “Festival of Trees” is back this holiday season at the 1881 Courthouse Museum.  Any business, service organization or community group that would like to sponsor a Christmas tree is asked to contact the museum at 673-2443.  The Christmas tree can be any height. It must be artificial with lights and decorations. The trees’ theme can represent a business or group, holiday or could be artistic.  The trees will be on display in the courtroom and other areas of the museum on Friday, Dec. 5, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for Paul Horsted’s program, the Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec 6, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and an open house on Sunday, Dec 7, from 5-7 p.m.  Set-up times for the trees are Wednesday, Dec. 3, and Thursday, Dec 4, from noon to 6 p.m. The trees can be removed on Monday from 9 a.m. to noon. For more information on the Festival of Trees, call Sandy at the museum at 673-2443.
