Meals program in ‘dire straits’

Meals Program Custer Senior Center is at serious risk of losing it Meals program, due to a continuing decline in participants. Both Jill Kettle senior center director, and Terri Harwood, local cook for the program, said officials at Western South Dakota Senior Services Inc., the company who runs the program, have informed the center it may wind up losing its local program if numbers and donations do not improve.
