Holiday church services offered

Special church services are being offered around Custer and the neighboring communities this holiday season.
Berean Bible Church will hold a Christmas Eve worship service at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 24. The Berean Bible Church is located on 6th and Harney St. Nursery is provided for all worship services.
A Christmas program will be held at the Bible Believers Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. Christmas caroling will happen on Monday, Dec. 22, at 6 p.m. Meet at the church to partake in the caroling. Christmas Eve services will be held at Bible Believers Baptist Church on Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 6:30 p.m. New Year’s Eve service will be held at 6:30 on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Bible Believers Baptist Church is located on 12230 Aviation Way, next to the airport.
A Christmas program will be held at the First Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. First Baptist Church will hold a candle-lit Christmas Eve communion service on Dec. 24, at 6:30 p.m. The First Baptist Church is located on Gordon and 9th St. in Custer.
A Christmas Eve mass will be held at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, at St. John’s Catholic Church. The next day, on Dec. 25, Christmas service will be at 10 a.m. On Dec. 31, the Feast of Mary, Mother of God, will be at 5:30 p.m. St. John’s Catholic Church is located at 449 Harney St.
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church will hold a Children’s Christmas service on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m., a Christmas Eve Candlelight service will be held. Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is located on 8th and Harney St.
At Living Outreach Church a Christmas Eve service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24. Living Outreach Church is located on 34 North 8th St.
Custer Lutheran Fellowship will have three worship services on Christmas Eve. All three services will include Christmas readings, candle lighting, the singing of the treasured and traditional Christmas carols and special music.
At the 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. services, the focus is “family friendly” with a children’s message and several brief reflections on the Christmas Eve readings. Holy communion will not be offered at these two services. At the 7 p.m. service, the “classic” festive Christmas Eve worship will be held. That service includes Holy Communion, Christmas carols and a sermon, but no children’s message. Custer Lutheran Fellowship is located three miles east of Custer.
Christmas Eve services will be held at Custer Community Church, United Church of Christ on Dec. 24, at 5:30 p.m. Custer Community Church, United Church of Christ is located at 547 Harney St.
Normal church service hours will be held at Pringle United Methodist Church with 9 a.m. Church services on Sunday, Dec. 27. The service on Sunday, though, will stress the reason of the season.
