Mike Mattox

Mike Warren Mattox was born July 17, 1966, in Rapid City, S.D., the ninth child of Leo and Florence Mattox. He attended the State School for the Blind in Aberdeen, S.D., and returned to Custer, S.D., in the 1980s before moving to Rapid City in the early 90s. Mattox died May 19, 2009, at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and his father. He is survived by a sister, his mother and one son. Memorial services are pending.
