  Martin E. Platek of Inner Grove Heights, Minn., died in a snowmobile accident Jan. 1, 2009. He was 20. Marty, a 2006 graduate of Simley High School in Inner Grove Heights, was a junior at UW-Stout majoring in business administration and was a defensive back for the Blue Devils football team. Marty had a passion for fishing and loved playing sports. He was always there for his family and friends no matter what the situation. Marty was preceded in death by grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Platek; and cousin, Brie Platek.  He is survived by his parents, Annie (Mahrt) and Steve; twin sister, Kellie; brothers, Joe and Tommy; grandparents, Marty and Colleen Mahrt of Custer, S.D.; uncles; aunts; cousins; and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial was Jan. 7 at The Church of St. Patrick in Inner Grove Heights.
