Chris Brumley

Chris Brumley Chris Brumley was born in Casper, Wyo., April 15, 1973, to  Dean and Kathy (Monsen) Brumley, formerly of Custer, S.D. He lived with his parents and brothers in Spearfish, Rochford, Hill City and Custer, all in South Dakota, before moving to Texas. Chris attended grade school in Hill City and Custer, and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Wichita Falls. On June 18, 2003, he married Jennifer Maness in Negril, Jamaica. He had been involved in automotive sales since 1996. In 1997 he joined Ron Roberts Ford. For the past three years, he worked at a Ford and Dodge dealership in Pampa, Texas. In April, he was named new car sales manager at Wichita Falls for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury. Chris’ hobbies included motorcycles, fast cars, golf and playing cards. His true passions in life were his wife, Jennifer, and his new baby boy, Chase, who in Chris’ eyes, was the best thing he had ever done. He was also a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse. Chris died July 9, 2008, at Quanah, Texas. He was 35. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys Brumley of Lemmon, S.D. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; his son, Chase; parents, Dean and Kathy Brumley; brothers, Nate (Shelly) and Tony (Mandy); grandpa A.J. “Bud” Brumley, all of Wichita Falls; grandparents, George and Doris Monsen of Custer; in-laws, Jerry Maness of Byers, Texas and Linda Maness of Charlie, Texas; brothers-and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; aunts (including Laurie Morgan of Pringle, S.D., his godmother); uncles and cousins. Services were held at the Colonial Baptist Church with interment at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Chris Brumley Memorial Fund of Wichita Falls Teacher’s Federal Credit Union. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.owensandbrumley.com.
