I was an African American student on the campus of Concordia College during the turbulent 60's. As a Theater and English major I had a lot of contact with Clair, an energetic and involved educator. Far from my Southside Chicago home and trying to figure out my way as a "stranger in a strange land" he was very support and kind. I write this now with gratitude and hope I can pass on to others what he so generously offered to me. Clair, Carol Torgerson Taught me so much of what I carry forward in the world today. I send greetings of peace and hopes for healing to all of Clair's family.
