For the sake of clarity, let me say first that I don't know in what tense to write this column—future? Past? You see, I am (was?) writing this last week. In other words, you know how the Super Bowl turned out, but I don't because it hasn't (hadn't?) happened yet. As of Thursday, my plans were to go to my first movie since 2003, probably the "Dear John" film made from Nicholas Sparks' book, or to tune in online to the Minnesota Twins archives to watch a rebroadcast of last fall's Game No. 163. (Take that, Detroit!) I just knew that on the 10+ hours of Super Bowl coverage there would be countless reruns of Hurricane Katrina, more stories on Archie Manning as both a Saints quarterback and the father of the Colts quarterback, more of that "Who dat?" nonsense, a Focus on the Family commercial, perhaps even a mancrunch.com commercial.......
