'Cats dominate Newell

TJ Stover scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Chad Bryant and Jordan Konkol both added 12 points as the Custer Wildcats cruised to a 78-26 win over the Newell Irrigators last Thursday night in Newell.

“They are so young,” Custer head coach Larry Luitjens said of Newell. “But we played hard and stayed focused.”

The Wildcats led 16-1 after the first period, led 29-5 at halftime and poured on 30 more points in the third quarter before clearing the bench for the remainder of the game against the overmatched and winless Irrigators.
