Nancy Cambier’s art for this year’s Custer Stampede is “Tatanka Wanbli,” a buffalo skull that is painted and also has black tourmaline on it. This is Cambier’s fourth year of doing art for the Stampede.

Going on her fourth year of creating art for the Custer Stampede, Nancy Cambier is doing something different this year.
Cambier, of Custer, has created life-sized buffalo for the Stampede, as well as the tabletop sized buffalo. This year, when the art for the annual Stampede is revealed, Cambier will unveil “Tatanka Wanbli,”âwhich means “Buffalo Eagle” in Lakota.
