The method behind our madness

It was just a matter of time.

We were not forced to change the size of our paper by the Rapid City Journal, who prints us, but we chose to because of better print quality and the fact that we can have color on more pages by being printed on the Journal’s newer press. 

Color is something we value, so having more color capability was an important factor in our decision. We have redesigned the order of the pages, trying to place pages with fewer pictures on the black and white pages. It is a work in progress, so please bear with us as we figure it all out.

We’ve heard from you on both sides of the issue. Some of you like the new page size and some of you don’t, so I will try to explain why we made this decision.

Does size matter?

While most of you said you like the new smaller size because it’s easier to handle while reading the paper, a few of you didn’t like it just because it is smaller.
