Dennis Gay

Dennis Gay was born in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a railroad employee for 41 years, and his favorite thing in life was his family. After his retirement in 2002, he and his wife, Chris, moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota to enjoy his love of horses and riding. Dennis also enjoyed square dancing, golf and four wheeling. He was a very loving husband and father. Dennis died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, in Apache Junction, Ariz. He was 69. Survivors include his wife, Christine; daughters, Wendy (John) Herron of Spring, Texas, Kelly (Jeremy) Markel of Bloomington, Minn., and Catherine (Travis) Saumer of Hammond, Wis.; sons, David (Sandra) Gay of Costa Mesa, Calif., Kenneth (Janice) Gray of Gillette, Wyo., Rodney (Tami) Gay of Mankato, Minn., and James (Sara) Markel of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Marilyn Peters of Salix, Iowa; and 14 grandchildren.
