Josepha Willis

Josepha (Nanneman Waddell) Willis was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Hamden RFD, Mo., to Joseph and Helen (Lodder) Nanneman.
Josepha, of rural Custer, S.D., died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Dee (Don) Hone in Custer. She was 96.
She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Larry Breeden; seven brothers,  Bernard, George, Lawrence, Ernest, Martin, Vincent and Virgil; and four sisters, Mary Diamond, Agnes Emmerich, Sr. Mary Virgil OSB and Sr. Mary Edith OSB.
Josepha is survived by four daughters, Juanita Breeden of Buckley, Wash., Beatrice Henry of Tacote, Mexico, Shirley (Mike) Whittington of Hemet, Calif., and Dolores (Don) Hone of Custer; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Teresa Kruessel, Rita Gaydusek, Gertrude Henke, Sr. Bernelda OSB and Jean (Wilfred) Henke.
Mass of Christian Burial was April 24 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Custer with Fr. Tim Hoag as celebrant. A mass and memorial service will be held in Salisbury, Mo., at  a later date.
