Berniece McKillip

Berniece McKillip was born Feb. 18, 1918, in Andrew Co., Mo., to Clarence and Marie (Mosser) Snapp. She grew up there and married William “Mac” McKillip Jan. 1, 1940, in St. Joseph, Mo. They moved their family to Sioux Falls, S.D., in 1948.
Berniece loved to read and crochet and only stopped crocheting a few weeks ago. In 1996 Mac and Berniece moved to Pringle, S.D. She was the perfect example of what a mother should be.
Berniece died Friday, April 12, 2013, at her home in Pringle. She was 95.
Berniece was preceded in death by her husband Mac; and four sons, James, Gary, Kerry and John.
She is survived by 12 children, Sharon (Forrest) Lewis of Pringle, Gayle (Ralph) Brown of Sioux Falls, Bill (Sharon) McKillip of Wentworth,  S.D., Betty Best of Sioux Falls, Carolyn (Gary) Jensen of Hot Springs, S.D., Bob McKillip of Sioux Falls, Mike McKillip of Colton, S.D., Barry (Colleen) McKillip of Marlton, N.J., Barbara (Ken) Bradfield of Sioux Falls, Kathy Best of Smithville, Mo., Linda (Jim) Hanson of Sioux Falls and Mark (Dawn) McKillip of Athol, Idaho; three sisters, Rosie Schaeffer of Oregon, Mo., Toni Shelton of Crocker, Mo., and Edna (Roy) Golden of Dodge City, Kan.; two brothers, Joe (Norma) Snapp of St. Joseph, Mo., and Ralph Snapp of Savannah, Mo.; 36 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17  at the Fountain of Life Assembly of God Church in Hot Springs with Pastor Ed Cutler officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs.
