Sarah Vershure Hattori was born Dec. 17, 1975, to the Rev. Claude and Dorothy Vershure in Detroit Lakes, Minn. She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1994 and later completed her bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida, as well as an estician program.
After relocating to Florida, Sarah’s daughter, Lexys, was born and she met and married the love of her life, Bob Hattori.
Sarah had a zest for life which she readily shared with family and many friends. She was known to all for her endless energy, wide smile, a warm pure heart and always time for all of the special people in her life. She had a talent for bringing people together. She will always be remembered for her large caring heart. Sarah enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling with family, being involved with activities at school and dance and being a creative interior designer. She loved her dear pets Nanook, Scrappie and Sucora. Sarah was the anchor for her family, providing love, nurturance, structure and stability. Her loving husband, Bob, said he would rather do nothing with Sarah than do any other thing with any other person.
Sarah died unexpectedly at her home in Maitland, Fla., Aug. 31, 2012. She was 36.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Bob; children Lexys, Mathew and Stephanie, all of Maitland; parents, the Rev. Claude and Dorothy Vershure of Custer, S.D.; brother, Paul (Haylee) Vershure; nephew, Archer and neice Audrey of Sartel, Minn.; maternal grandmother Mary Ellen Kangas of McGregor, Minn.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Sept. 6. Memorials to Sarah’s memory may be made to the Rosebud Youth Memorial at the Rosebud Indian Reservation.
