Walter Eagle Tail was a local artist who exhibited his work at the Crazy Horse Educational and Cultural Center. We have one of his personal picture cards from a conversation with him 2 years ago at his booth.

Such a sad end to the life of Walter Eagle Tail. I'm honored to have known him and to count him among my friends in Custer.

So shocked and sad to hear of Walter Eagle Tail's death. We met him several years ago, and because it was not busy in the Center that day, we enjoyed a long conversation. I still love wearing the jewelry he made.
I know he will be missed. We will be praying for his family.
