Custer wins at Hill City, fares well in Philip

Going into the Philip Invitational Tournament this past weekend, Custer Wildcat wrestling coach Jared Webster said he knew the tournament was going to be a challenge for his young wrestling squad. Knowing this, he told them no matter what to give it their all. “I told them they needed to keep wrestling until the whistle blows,” said Webster. “They have to wrestle the full six minutes in every match instead of wrestling good one match and another one come out and not.” Did they? One could say that. “They were going for broke and taking shots,”â��Webster said. “Even if they were losing, they were still going after people.”
