Wrestlers strong at Lyman County tourney

Three fourths of Custer’s wrestling squad placed at the Lyman County Invitational Tournament last weekend. It was a percentage Custer’s coach was proud of, but then again he wouldn’t have minded seeing that percentage jump up another 25 percent.

“The kids wrestled really well,” said Custer wrestling coach Jared Webster. “It was a good tournament for them and I was pleased to have nine placers out of 12.”

The first day of the tournament on Friday, Custer looked “excellent,” Webster said. 

“They wrestled really well to get into the placing rounds,” said Webster. “Lyman is a tough tournament filled with a lot of ‘B’ schools we need to see.”
