Burns, Glazier win Gold Rush Fun Run

Logan Burns of Custer was the overall winner of this year’s Gold Rush Fun Run, held last Sunday morning as part of Gold Discovery Days. Burns finished with a time of 18:25. The overall female winner was Tori Glazier of Custer, who finished in a time of 22:24. Winning the male master’s division was Pat Wiederhold of Hill City, with a time of 22:33. Female master’s division champion was Amy Fleck at a time of 22:44. Other results are as follows:

The team “Net Zone Team” was the winner of this year’s Gold Discovery Days volleyball tournament. Team members were Jason, Julie, Eric and Maggie (last names unavailable). In second place were the Sapient Six. Team members were Ashley Schultz, Alisha Shultz, Luressa Schultz, Caleb Ziolkowski, Isaac Parsons and Ellie Parsons.
The Wildcat Golf four-man scramble tournament was won by the team of Chad Bryant, Erik Hiltunen, Tyler Burr and Gabe Dierksen. The team finished with a 16-under par 56, to win by four strokes. Sixty four golfers participated in the event.
