Dylan Severyn, left, and Clayton Wahlstrom were two of the three wrestlers to place at the Belle Fourche tournament. Wahlstrom took first place after defeating an undefeated opponent from North Dakota, as well as the second ranked wrestler from the state. Severyn took second at the invitational. Not pictured is Clay Seidler, who also took second place in his weight class.

The Custer wrestling team took on the Douglas Patriots Thursday, Jan. 24, in the last regular dual of the season, where they lost 38-30 in a close match.
"There were some good matches and some not so good matches," said assistant coach Bob Morgan. "We lost a couple of matches that we should have won. We definitely could have won the dual."
While many of the younger wrestlers on the team were able to wrestle, that may have been the team's undoing.
"Our more experienced wrestlers did really well," Morgan said. "We have more young kids on the team who need that experience. I think with a little more, our team will be pretty dangerous."
