The Custer High School boys golf season wrapped up last Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 1-2, with the Class A State Golf Tournament in Spearfish. The meet was played at Spearfish Canyon Country Club.
The Wildcats had two golfers compete at the meet. Rhett Larsen wrapped up his career by finishing with a two-day score of 99-97 196, while Blake Martinz shot identical scores of 99 each day to finish with a total of 198.
“I thought they both played well. It’s a tough course,” Custer head coach Paul Kelley said. “Probably more so for Blake, because he’s not a long ball hitter and you have to hit some long shots. They are both great kids and it was a lot of fun going with them.”
