Volleyball team wins one, loses one

In a Saturday game, the Wildcats hosted Pine Ridge, making it the fifth time the two teams have met. Pine Ridge swept Custer in three sets, 25-20, 25-19 and 25-23.
“Our receiving the ball shot us in the foot,” said coach Renae Schneider. “There was really a lack of movement in the back row. Our team will not be successful when we pass 66 percent against a team who is 20-1.”
Custer has been the only team so far to beat Pine Ridge.
“They’ve had our number since then,” Schneider said. “They’ve defeated us the past four times we’ve met.”
Lisa Lovoll was 11 of 13 serving with five aces, 27 of 29 hitting with 10 kills, 23 of 27 receiving with six digs and two solo blocks. Moe Mack was nine of 10 serving with two aces, three of six hitting with one kill and had seven digs. Olivia Dahlstrom was eight of nine serving with one ace, four of six hitting with one kill, two of four receiving and had seven digs.
