The Custer High School girls track team are once again the queens of Black Hills Conference—thanks in large part to the performance of one.
Taylor Neugebauer tied two school records on her way to two individual championships, while also running on a pair of winning relay teams to lead the team to 151.33 points and another conference crown. St. Thomas More finished second with 139 points.
Neugebauer won the 100 meter dash in a record-tying time of 12.6, the 200 in a record-tying time of 26.1 and was also a member of the first pace finishing 800 and 1600 relay teams.
Neugebauer was not the Wildcat girl to pitch in the effort, however. Sydney Mohr finished in first place in the discus throw with a toss of 114-10, while Tiffany Dower won the shot put at 37-4 1/2. Mohr was third in the shot put at 35-4, while Dower was third in the discus at 98-5.
