Golf team places third in Rapid City meet

he Custer High School golf team got in one meet before the weather turned sour last week, placing third at the St. Thomas More Invitational last Thursday afternoon. The meet was played at the Elks Golf Course in Rapid City.
Katie Starr led the way for the Wildcats, shooting a nine-hole score of 55. She was followed by Rachel Petik and Taylor Kuhn, both who shot a 63, and Jessy Harbach at 64.
The girls fired a team total of 253. Hot Springs won the meet, with a score of 196. The Bison also had the individual medalist at the meet, Schuyler Wetzel, who shot a 43. A pair of golfers tied for second place with scores of 45.
