he bad news for the Custer High School wrestling team members who participated in last weekend’s Class A state wrestling tournament in Sioux Falls is that none of them were able to crack the win column in any of their matches at the tournament. The good news for them, and head coach Jared Webster, is that all three will get the chnce next year.
The tournament was the first state experience for the three Wildcat wrestlers who qualified for the tournament—Cody Herman at 103 pounds, Tanner Eiesland at 171 pounds and Ty Cooper at 215 pounds. And, although none of them brought home a win, they gained valuable experience that will no doubt help them when they take to the mat again next year.
