Chad Bryant drives by a Hill City defender on his way to the basket during last Saturday’s win over the Rangers. Bryant had 15 points in the game.

Chad Bryant scored 22 points and Brandon Smith and Luke Roddy both added 12 as the Custer Wildcats completed a season sweep of the Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers with a 69-55 win Feb. 8 in Lead. Custer head coach Larry Luitjens called it the best game the ’Cats have played all year.

“We shot decent for a change. We took the ball to the basket, and ran the ball well on the full court,” he said.

Custer jumped out to the early lead, but the Golddiggers slowly chipped away and eventually tied the game in the second half. The Wildcats took over in the fourth quarter however, and cruised to the win.
